Prostitution is often referred to as the "oldest profession." Indeed, it has always been a common way for women to make money, even in Bible times. The Bible tells us that prostitution is
immoral. Proverbs 23:27-28 says, "For a prostitute is a deep pit and a wayward wife is a narrow well. Like a bandit she lies in wait, and multiplies the unfaithful among men."
God forbids involvement with prostitutes because He knows such involvement is detrimental to both men and women. "For the lips of an immoral woman drip honey, And her mouth is
smoother than oil; But in the end she is bitter as wormwood, Sharp as a two-edged sword. Her feet go down to death, Her steps lay hold of hell" (Proverbs 5:3-5 NKJV).
Prostitution not only destroys marriages, families, and lives, but it destroys the spirit and soul in a way that leads to physical and spiritual death. God's desire is that we stay pure and use our
bodies as tools for His use and glory (Romans 6:13). First Corinthians 6:13 says, "The body is not for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body."
The Bible speaks with unlimited wisdom, beyond our own comprehension. I do my best to save those around me, but you can not help those who refuse to help themselves. As I read, "Her steps
lay hold of hell", I weep alone. At times when I am alone, I scream questions as to why I can not save those who need my guidance most. I give my entirety to those in need. I do my best to save
those from sin and eternal damnation.
Even a prostitute can understand the story and commandments of God, but consciously ignoring them deals a great blow to one's own spirit and physical body. As I have said before in my
"Lies, Morality & Happiness" blog, every immoral sin has an opposite reaction, dare I say..
- I've known someone that is 20, and looks 26. The youth has been stolen - as I gaze upon the eyes and study - I see a tired, used look on her face, "they can not love - for love is merely a job", her
friend tells me..
Let this be a lesson to all of you who seek this ignorant, immature occupation. The costs outweigh the benefits (physically & spiritually), and your youthful look will be diminished.
